ProtectDISC Video

The music and video industries are losing billions of dollars of revenue from unauthorized copying. Inexpensive digital recording devices are now widely available. And, it seems that freely copying somebody else's copyrighted material is often viewed as an entitlement.

Although the DVD originally came with copy protection systems by design, these systems (CSS and Macrovision Analog Copy Protection) were quickly broken, and today don't limit the copying of video material.

ProtectDISC Video is a new form of copy protection, especially designed for DVD-Video. By combining special media structures implemented at the replicator facility with the DVD internal navigation structure, ProtectDISC Video makes it impossible to created 1:1 copies or complete rips of the protected DVD.

mpDRM - motion picture Digital Rights Management

Digital Rights Management is an absolute must for distribution of video on demand systems. mpDRM is a full featured DRM framework spcialized in protection of motion pictures that supports every kind of container video stream and container format.

mpDRM is based on accepted standards for both the content encryption (AES-128) and the licensing framework (REL, SOAP, WMRM objects).

Server side mpDRM comes with a very similar server side object model than Windows Media Rights Management. Because of this, the server side implementation of mpDRM additionally to WMRM or replacing a WMRM framework is a very straightforward process.
